Hmmm... seems like a poll that is skewed a bit. I started on 9 and few people I meet started before me. Heck, I started when a guy I work with was 5 years old.

Thanks for your comments. At this point of the poll it looks like most of the voters remember the days of MS-DOS, tablet menus, and tweaking their config.sys and autoexec.bat to work around a 640K limit.

this Auto cad poll is one of the best way to classified the people skill through the exprence on auto cadd.
i start auto cad-2000 but now i shift to Pro/e (wild -fire).
but it my openion that auto cad is best for all. because it is most eassy softwere in compare to other software.

Who'd have thought? I am average? lol. I started on R10, and it looks like that one is staying the 'winner' so far.

This one's been up for a while but I thought it would be fun to jump in...
I started with 2.18, then quickly jumped to 2.54, 2.65 and R9. Spent a little time on R10, then R12 on Windows 3.11. Next was the painful jump to R13 (thru C4) and some relief on R14 followed by A2K, 2002 and now 2006.
Darn, I sound old!!

Not so bad. I started as an intern on R10. However, in high school for an easy A, I took CAD. The school had R3. The teacher didn't like it when I was pointing out everything R3 was lacking. I got the A. Since, I have used 12 for DOS, 12 for WIN, 14, 2000, LDT 2004 and we have 2007 inhouse but until we get more licenses, it sits untouched. Ouch! I am waiting for our shippment of LDT 2008 as we are a subscription member. Who would of thought of that back in the days of R10?
